A three-mile hike through the Camden area will provide an opportunity to explore the landscapes that played a critical role in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution before concluding at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center at Camden.
As one of South Carolina’s most historically significant Revolutionary War sites, Camden was the location of major military campaigns and the site of the Battle of Camden in 1780, one of the war’s pivotal engagements in the South. Following the hike, the group will tour the Revolutionary War Center to learn more about the people, battles, and strategies that shaped the fight for American independence. This experience connects outdoor exploration with the rich history of the region while commemorating South Carolina’s important role as the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
