A morning along the West Columbia Riverwalk will highlight the growing connection between outdoor recreation, river conservation, and community gathering spaces in the Midlands.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Savage Craft Brewery, where participants will gather before boarding a shuttle to the Cayce Riverwalk trailhead. From there, attendees will enjoy a scenic walk back to Savage Craft along the Cayce and West Columbia Riverwalks, following the Congaree River through one of the Midlands’ most ecologically and historically significant corridors.
Along the route, participants will experience beautiful river views, natural habitats, historic landmarks, and the waterways that have long shaped the Columbia region. The walk highlights the growing connection between outdoor recreation, river conservation, and vibrant community gathering spaces.
The experience will conclude at Savage Craft Brewery with a time of lunch and fellowship, providing an opportunity for participants to connect, reflect on the journey, and celebrate the important role that trails, rivers, and shared outdoor experiences play in building healthy, vibrant, and connected communities.
