Sassafras Mountain, known as the “Roof of the Palmetto State,” is the highest point in South Carolina, reaching an elevation of 3,533 feet above sea level.
Join us for a memorable evening at the Sunset at Sassafras event, where participants will gather at the Sassafras Mountain overlook before hiking down the trail to meet the SC7 Expedition team along the mountain route. After connecting with the team, guests will hike back to the summit overlook to enjoy an unforgettable sunset celebration in South Carolina’s highest point.
Held in partnership with Pickens County and Blue Ridge Electric Co-Op, the evening will feature live music, beer and wine, and the opportunity to relax together as the sun sets across the Blue Ridge Mountains. This unique experience combines outdoor adventure, community connection, and the natural beauty that makes the Upstate so special.
