Join Oconee County Legislative Delegation and the general public for our annual Kick-Off Ceremony at Oconee Station State Historical Site, a backcountry military garrison and trading post from the 1790s.
From the park, the team will hike to the popular Station Cove Falls. One of the prettiest in the country, the waterfall is a majestic 60-foot, tiered cascade. After time at the falls, the group will return to the park.

A portion of the Station Cove Falls hike follows the Oconee Passage of the Palmetto Trail! As South Carolina’s statewide trail system, the Palmetto Trail connects communities, public lands, and some of our state’s most beautiful natural places. We’re proud to spend part of the adventure on this iconic trail and celebrate the organizations and volunteers who help make outdoor exploration possible for all South Carolinians.
